Safety score · 0–100
Good
Derived from EU CosIng regulatory status, PubChem hazard data and published research. How we score.
A crosslinked acrylate polymer — versatile thickener, film former, and emulsion stabilizer with good skin compatibility.
This crosspolymer combines acrylates, beheneth-25 methacrylate, and HEMA (hydroxyethyl methacrylate), crosslinked with allyl pentaerythritol ether. CosIng-listed for emulsion stabilizing, film forming, hair fixing, and viscosity controlling. The finished crosspolymer is chemically inert. Residual HEMA monomer is a known contact allergen. No GHS codes on the polymer. Safety depends on residual monomer levels being properly controlled.
